It’s official.
Seongsu-dong is the trendiest neighborhood in Seoul and there’s so much to do, it’s overwhelming for any first-time visitors.
Right now, Seongsu-dong is known for aesthetic cafes, unique shops, and constantly evolving backdrop of pop-ups that change every weekend. But, it used to be a working class neighborhood filled with auto-body shops, and factories.

You could visit Seongsu-dong every day for a year and spend each day doing something different. So, for all you first-timers out there, here’s my itinerary of Seongsu-dong to cover cafes, fashion, K-beauty and more.
Whipped (휩드 하우스)
I’ve been in love with Whipped since before they even had a physical store. And I’m not going to lie, I did gate keep it for a while because they kept selling out of their fig body butter. It’s thick, moisturizing and smells so good! And that led me to their cleanser, which is basically a face pack and cleanser rolled into one and it leaves my skin feeling insanely soft. Now they have this super cute flagship store and you can try out all their products to see what will suit your skin’s needs best. Plus if you buy one of their body butters you get a mini body butter bag charm for free!

Indibrand (인디브랜드)
If you’re looking for what the Korean girlies are wearing right now, this is a good place to start. Indibrand is a popular fashion chain here in Korea. There are locations all over Seoul, in fact, there are about three locations in Seongsu alone. But if you’re in the area, you might as well pop into a few and take a look. Each store tends to have slightly different merch. If you happen to stop by during the colder seasons, they have some of the cutest sweaters.

Childish (차일디쉬)
If you love salt bread and bungeo-ppang the way I do, Childish makes these amazing hybrid bungeo-ppangs using salt bread dough. They have two fillings to choose from, red bean or honey and seeds (hotteok). They’re made to order and come topped with a slab of butter. I’ve never had anything like them. They’re so addictive we had three.

Hince (힌스)
Hince went viral for their radiance balm and I’ve got to say this is one of those products that actually lives up to the hype. It’s a creamy highlighter that really gives you a glass skin glow and i use it all the time. But more recently I’ve been hooked on their new Raw Glow Gel Tints. They come in 15 different colors but I highly recommend #12 raw fig. The color is this natural red and the finish is so pretty and glowy, but you don’t have to take my word for it. You can test all their colors and products in store, plus they always have freebies when you make a purchase.

Fwee (퓌 아지트)
If you don’t check out Fwee did you even really go to Seongsu? Fwee was among the first flagship stores in Seongsu to go viral and I’m happy to report this is one of those viral brands that’s absolutely worth the hype. Their products are so versatile and come in so many colors for every skin tone. I own more than a few of their famous Pudding Pots. But the best part of visiting this store is that you get a cute free keyring with the product color of your choosing with any purchase.

Wxck (웩포토)
No day in Seongsu, or Seoul for that matter, is complete without taking some photo booth pics. Korea is busting at the seams with photo booth studios, but there are some real gems among them if you know where to look. So, if you ever wanted to take a selfie in a bathroom stall, Wxck is the place for you. This bathroom themed photo booth has 6 different booths to choose from complete with plungers. If you don’t mind the weirdness of it all, it’s a lot of fun!

Charcoal Live Bakery (숯 라이브 베이커리)
Charcoal Live Bakery is new to the Seongsu scene. This cafe specializes in delicious salt bread ranging from sweet to savory. But the real showstopper, and my personal recommendation, is their hamburg salt bread. You pick your salt bread and then they grill the bread and steak up right in front of you. It is a savory little sandwich packed with flavor.

Dasique (데이지크)
I have long been a fan of Dasique. They make some of the most beautifully pigmented eyeshadow palettes. While, I’ve always purchased their products at Olive Young, this store is the perfect place to see all their products at once, get items at discounted prices and even pick up some freebies along the way. Bonus: Be sure to check out their cafe on the second floor. It is quite possibly one of the most Instagrammable spots in Seongsu.
