If you watch K-dramas, then you’ve definitely seen Lotte World in more than a few episodes. And you’ve definitely seen characters (well out of high school) dress up in school uniforms for the park. But did you know you can do this in real life?

School uniform rentals have become super popular. You can find couples, friend groups and even parents dressed up and enjoying their time at the park. So, there’s no need to feel shy.

There are lots of places you can rent uniforms from, some of them inside the Lotte World park. But we recommend checking out places outside the park for a better selection. We went with Ehwa School Uniform (이화교복) since they have a pretty wide selection of colors, styles, and sizes which range from XS to XXL. They even have uniforms based on the shows Produce 101 and Produce 48. 

The boutique-style rental shop is only a 15 minute walk from Lotte World. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but once we picked the color scheme we liked for my uniform, we were able to find the matching male uniform pretty easily. You can try on up to 2 styles, but luckily we were pretty happy with our first pick.

It costs only 20,000 KRW per person for the whole day and includes the top, bottom vest and tie. They also have an assortment of accessories to choose from like ties, bowties, ribbons and cute headbands at no additional cost. Jackets and backpacks are also available, but for an additional 5,000 KRW each.

Aside from the uniform section, there’s also a cute powder room with flat irons, bobby pins and hair ties for you to use to style your hair and a mock classroom to take photos in before you head out for the day.

Across from the rental shop are coin-operated lockers to store your clothes in, so you don’t have to worry about lugging your stuff around with you all day.

All in all it was a really memorable experience. We had a lot of fun roaming the park in our uniforms, eating snacks and taking lots of cute photos. It really took me back to my own school days and I highly recommend trying it out if you get the chance.

Q: Do I need to make a reservation? A: Reservations aren’t required, but I highly recommend it. You can pay ahead of time and make a reservation here.

Q: What do I need to rent a school uniform? A: To complete your rental you will need to provide your ID or Passport and leave a deposit of 5,000 KRW for each uniform. The deposit will be refunded when the uniform is returned in good condition.

A: For females they have sizes XS ~ 4XL. For males they have sizes XS ~ 2XL.
