Bésame ♥ Snow White: Disney Cosmetics Review

I have been looking forward to doing this review for a long time! Ever since photos of Bésame’s Snow White collection debut at D23 back in July, I’ve been aggressively stalking their website and Instagram. I am a HUGE Snow White fan and as an adult, I was thrilled to see a line Disney cosmetics … Continue reading →

Moonshot BLACKPINK Cosmetics Review

If I look at the K-Pop industry as a whole, I’d have to say the YG Entertainment is probably my favorite company simply because the majority of the artists I like come from their company. This being said, I was a little more than a little curious to check out their cosmetic line. However it … Continue reading →

SSIN STEALER x Unpretty Rapstar Cosmetics

My interest in Korean beauty products and cosmetics is constantly growing. Korea has so many products to choose from. A surprising amount are high quality, uniquely packaged and won’t even break the bank. Of course there are some duds in the mix , but honestly it’s hard not to get swept up in it. My vanity … Continue reading →

Château Labiotte: Wine Lipstick, Lip Tint & Balm

Posted on July 1, 2016 by Lexi • 10 Comments

If you’re a wine lover, you will fall in love with the wine cosmetic line from Château Labiotte. As the little sister of the popular cosmetic brand Tony Moly, Château Labiotte is one of the lesser known Korean beauty brands. To be honest, it wasn’t until I spotted their wine inspired cosmetics that I even … Continue reading →

Beyond: Alice in Wonderland Makeup Collection

Posted on April 1, 2016 by Lexi • 12 Comments

Character collaborations have been taking the cosmetics world in Korea by storm. Its seems as though every cosmetic line has done some kind of character collaboration at one point or another. Right now, road-shop brand Beyond is doing an Alice in Wonderland collaboration. Being a HUGE Disney nerd and an Alice in Wonderland enthusiast I had … Continue reading →

Love the Skin You’re In (Pt. IV)

It’s been a while, so I suppose it’s time for another Korean cosmetics update. A lot of times, when people shop for Korean cosmetics, they opt for products with the cutest or prettiest packaging. It’s pretty easy to get swept up in the sea of visually appealing cosmetics, but sometimes these products overshadow some truly … Continue reading →

Sailor Moon Miracle Romance Liquid Eyeliner

I am a huge Sailor Moon fan! So, I was thrilled when Creer Beaute’s “Miracle Romance” Sailor Moon cosmetic line hit the shelves here in Seoul a few months back. Both the Moon Stick and Cutie Moon Rod eyeliners were available at almost every Watsons, LOHB & Olive Young for ₩23,000. Unfortunately, they sold out almost … Continue reading →

Aritaum “Mono Eyes” Eyeshadows & Palette

Posted on January 13, 2016 by Lexi • Leave a comment

A few months ago, I found myself wandering into an Aritaum. Since their products are a bit more on the expensive side, I typically tend to avoid going there unless I know exactly what to buy. I don’t mind paying good money for high quality cosmetics, but since I’m more of a trial and error … Continue reading →

Love the Skin You’re In (Pt. III)

I don’t really consider myself a cosmetics expert, I just know what I like and don’t like. So whenever I find a product I enjoy, I always make sure to recommend it to my friends and get their opinions on it. I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted on Korean cosmetics, but since I’ve … Continue reading →

A little throwback to April's Nuriday where I was awarded "Content of the Month."
Today's "Wartime Alert" was a nice little reminder that South Korea and North Korea are still at war. It's something that's always in the back of our minds, having lived here for over a decade. So, it's important to know where your nearest underground shelter is and maybe have a packed emergency bag... just in case.
Do you ever watch people eating in a movie or kdrama and then immediately have to have whatever they're eating? For us... that happens all the time!
Needless to say summer is right around the corner, and while I'd love to have a hot girl summer... I'd love to eat whatever I want more 😂
If you're looking for something fun to do over the weekend, then you should check out the Hangang Moonlight Market. It has food trucks, performances, a flea market and a gorgeous view of the Han River!
Weather's getting warmer and I'm finally ready to trade in my dark clothes for brighter colors.
Any time we travel to the coast here in Korea, we always look forward to eating one thing... seafood ramen!
Mayak Gyeran (마약계란), aka Korean marinated eggs, is one of my favorite Korean side dishes. Not only is it addictive, but it also makes for a quick and easy meal when I'm super busy or just don't feel like cooking. Have you tried it?
Once again we've been getting some nice spring weather here in Seoul... and what better way to spend a day than at our favorite cronut cafe.
