O Christmas Tree

While Christmas isn’t as big of a deal in Korea as it is in other countries, its popularity has been growing among the younger generations and of course still holds meaning among the religiously faithful. Since I’ve been here I have seen a major increase in the amount of festive light displays and holiday decorations put up each year. I really enjoy seeing all of this because it reminds me of home. Nothing gives me warm holiday feelings quite like a lovely Christmas tree. At every subway station you can find one uniquely decorated tree. While I couldn’t go around photographing each one, I did manage to capture a few. So for all you tree lovers out there: Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings and all of that yule tide jazz.
