How To: Hong Kong Disneyland 2018

Posted on February 23, 2018 by Lexi • 9 Comments

Unlike most of our trips, our trip to Hong Kong was short (but sweet) with Hong Kong Disneyland being our primary reason for visiting. Researching this trip wasn’t as easy as I though it was going to be. Surprisingly, there isn’t a whole lot of current info on the park in English and the stuff … Continue reading →

Hong Kong Street Food & Night Markets

Posted on February 1, 2018 by Lexi • 3 Comments

Our first trip to Hong Kong was essentially a Disney Vacay, complete with a 3 days & 2 nights stay at Disney’s Hollywood Hotel. With one day designated for Disneyland and an early flight the following afternoon, it didn’t leave us with much time to explore Hong Kong itself. Nonetheless, having checked into our hotel … Continue reading →

Inside Hong Kong Disney’s Hollywood Hotel

I’m married!!! While the wedding was wonderful, I think what newlyweds really look forward to most is the honeymoon. Unfortunately, since we technically had a “destination wedding” (back home in California), money is a bit tight and we used up all our vacation days. Nonetheless, we were determined to have some sort of a (MUCH … Continue reading →

5 NEW Street Foods to Try in Myeongdong

Posted on December 19, 2017 by Lexi • 7 Comments

While Myeongdong (명동) is mostly known for its fabulous shopping experience, it also has a great street food scene. Last year I did a post on street vendors in Myeongdong and what foods to try when you need a break from all that shopping. This year I noticed a lot of new food options and … Continue reading →

Good Eats & Best Wedding Bands in Downtown LA

Posted on December 7, 2017 by Lexi • Leave a comment

Downtown LA has changed so much since I was a kid. It’s become cleaner, trendier and, well… not a cheap place to live. One thing that hasn’t changed too much are many of the original buildings and their amazing architecture. The fiancé and I spent quite a bit of time taking pictures around the area … Continue reading →

A Disney Halloween Bridal Shower

Posted on October 31, 2017 by Lexi • 6 Comments

I come from a household of pretty enthusiastic Disney nerds. So when the time came to throw me a bridal shower, my mom and sisters knew exactly what to do. Halloween and Christmas are my favorite times to go to Disneyland. I love the decor, ambiance, but most importantly… the seasonal treats! My goal was … Continue reading →

Afternoon Tea @ Tea Rose Garden

Posted on October 6, 2017 by Lexi • 2 Comments

It’s a standing tradition anytime I’m back in California, I take my baby sister out for some afternoon tea. It was a special little ritual I started with her back in 2013, when I returned to California from Korea for the first time. Granted I’m not able to make the trip back as often as … Continue reading →

My First Ube Experience: Café 86

Posted on September 15, 2017 by Lexi • 2 Comments

I have slowly been compiling lists of cafes and restaurant I want to try when I travel and then low key stalking their Instagram accounts while I work out at the gym. It may be a bit masochistic, but it motivates me to work out with the promise that at some point I will get … Continue reading →

7 Hour Layover in Tokyo + Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo + Poké Haul

Posted on August 24, 2017 by Lexi • 3 Comments

Heading back to LA is always a special treat for the boyfriend and myself. It’s not often that we get to go back home for a visit, so we were really excited. Unfortunately, tickets to LA are not exactly the cheapest, so to save ourselves some money we opted for a 7 hour layover in … Continue reading →

Inside Seoul’s 1st Ever Comic Con

Posted on August 12, 2017 by Lexi • 4 Comments

The unimaginable happened. Comic Con came to Seoul. Cue the fireworks!!! To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to make it because of my schedule. Also, there was a lot of talk about how the event was going to be a huge flop. However, about a week before Comic Con … Continue reading →

A little throwback to April's Nuriday where I was awarded "Content of the Month."
Today's "Wartime Alert" was a nice little reminder that South Korea and North Korea are still at war. It's something that's always in the back of our minds, having lived here for over a decade. So, it's important to know where your nearest underground shelter is and maybe have a packed emergency bag... just in case.
Do you ever watch people eating in a movie or kdrama and then immediately have to have whatever they're eating? For us... that happens all the time!
Needless to say summer is right around the corner, and while I'd love to have a hot girl summer... I'd love to eat whatever I want more 😂
If you're looking for something fun to do over the weekend, then you should check out the Hangang Moonlight Market. It has food trucks, performances, a flea market and a gorgeous view of the Han River!
Weather's getting warmer and I'm finally ready to trade in my dark clothes for brighter colors.
Any time we travel to the coast here in Korea, we always look forward to eating one thing... seafood ramen!
Mayak Gyeran (마약계란), aka Korean marinated eggs, is one of my favorite Korean side dishes. Not only is it addictive, but it also makes for a quick and easy meal when I'm super busy or just don't feel like cooking. Have you tried it?
Once again we've been getting some nice spring weather here in Seoul... and what better way to spend a day than at our favorite cronut cafe.
