As if Pokémon fans weren’t already suffering enough financially, Olive Young joined the chaos too. The Pokémon 30th Anniversary Party pop-up at Olive Young’s Trendpot space in Seongsu combines Pokémon nostalgia with Korean beauty and lifestyle shopping, which is honestly dangerous for anyone with poor self-control, like me.

The Pokémon 30th Anniversary Party is one of the main events of Pokémon Mega Festa 2026, a citywide celebration marking 30 years of Pokémon. Throughout May, Olive Young has teamed up with 61 beauty and lifestyle brands to release around 230 Pokémon-themed products and special gifts. And while you can find many of these products at any Olive Young, the biggest and most immersive location is Olive Young N Seongsu, where the Trendpot space has been turned into a giant Pokémon-themed party complete with photo zones, exclusive merchandise, and limited-edition collaborations.
Aside from browsing the different collabs, there is a small cafe area where you can get your hands on a deliciously cute Pikachu cake pop for only 3,000 KRW. There’s also a stamp rally where if you scan 3 or more special Pokémon NFC tags in the store you can get a free sticker or photo. You can also grab a cute mini Pokémon coloring page to color on the spot or take home for later.
Poke-Gacha Everywhere
This location also has a special separate pop-up area with gacha machines and celebration themed merch you can’t find anywhere else like magnets, pin badges, deco stickers, emblem keyrings and even greeting cards. In fact, people had camped out over night the day before the event kicked off just to get their hands on the Pokémon Center 30th Anniversary Pika Pika! Pikachu.
The Olive Young opens at 10:00 am and has no reservation requirements, but entry to the separate pop-up does require on onsite reservation. You can input your Korean phone number or email and receive a notification when it’s your turn to enter. Although the space doesn’t open until 10:00 am, registration starts at 7:00 am. We went on a Saturday at around 8:08 am and got our notification to enter 11:24 am (just for reference). So, arriving early is definitely worth it if you want to free up the rest of your day or have your choice of merch, especially on a weekend.
