METAMONG PLAYGROUND in Seoul: Complete Guide to the Ditto Pop-Up 2026

Metamong Playground is basically a giant Ditto-themed universe hidden in Seongsu and the entire thing feels aggressively designed for social media in the best possible way (for the most part). Just picture purple everywhere, massive Ditto sculptures, Ditto walls, Ditto desserts, Ditto merch, Ditto chaos! In case you haven’t pieced it together, we’re pretty big on Ditto out here in Korea.

The two-story space is divided into a few areas, with the main one being the merch section as soon as you enter. This pop-art inspired area definitely gives off neon nightlife vibes. The space is pretty much wall to wall gacha machines, with the exception of some Pokémon merch, Ditto-themed apparel and limited drops tied to the brand-new Pokopia game line that can be purchased via an NFC tag you can scan at the entrance. The gacha machines mostly have bag charms and figures, with the slap magnet plushie bag charm being the must have item.

The top floor has a cute DJ Pikachu photo zone and four gaming stations where you can try out the new Pokopia game and receive a FREE pack of stickers and Peakychu visor. Theres also a small room dedicated to the Pokémon Trading Card Game with demo tables and giant versions of the cards displayed on the walls. If you follow them on instagram you can also get some FREE Ditto stickers.

Perhaps my favorite part of the pop-up was the cute little to-go cafe right at the exit. You can grab a cold brew latte, juice, some candy or my item of choice… a cup of purple yogurt ice cream complete with Ditto and Ditto Pikachu chocolate toppers. It’s served behind a secret door that turned out to be a mini photo zone for your order. It was such a fun little experience. And as for the ice cream, it was almost too cute to eat. Almost.

Entry to the pop-up does require on onsite reservation, where you can input your Korean phone number or email and receive a notification when it’s your turn to enter. And although the space doesn’t open until 10:00 am, registration starts at 7:00 am. We went on a Saturday at around 7:47 am and got our notification to enter 10:31 am (just for reference). So, arriving early is definitely worth it if you want to free up the rest of your day or have your choice of merch, especially on a weekend.
