Fresh Plush – Americana Inspired Pet Toys

Korea is on its way to being a pet-centric society. Seoulites, in particular, absolutely love their pets (us included). There are more and more pet friendly places from restaurants and cafes to malls and movie theaters. So, of course, there are also all sorts of pet boutiques, clothing and toy stores. But what if I told you there was a special supermarket just for pets?

A Super-Pupper-Market

Fresh Plush is a Korean pet toy brand that specializes in quality Americana-styled pet plushies. Their adorably colorful shop is modeled after traditional American-style supermarkets. And the cutest part? All the “groceries” are pet toys! From Frosted Flakes and Nutella to deli meats and Norwegian anchovies, they have it all! Just grab a shopping basket and stock up on all your American favorites.

To be honest, Seoul’s been going through this Americana phase, from vintage diners to nostalgia shops. So why shouldn’t our fur babies join in the fun too?

The toys are a bit on the on the pricier side, but the quality is chef’s kiss. I love all embroidery and attention to detail on each toy. Truthfully, it was really hard deciding what to get but in the end we went with a classic bag of crinkly Ruffles potato chips. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten Uyu something that combined his love of crinklies and my love of potato chips in 90s packaging.

Once we were ready, we headed to the checkout counter where they wrapped up our purchase really carefully in butcher paper and took an adorable commemorative picture of Uyu. The whole experience was just super cute! So if you want to pamper you pet with a cute and unique souvenir from Korea, definitely check this place out.

Where is Fresh Plush?

Fresh Plush is about a ten minute walk from Hongdae Station. It’s the perfect place to stop by if you’re heading to Hongdae or Yeonnam-dong for their cafes, shopping or bars.
