Return to Mr. Holmes

When Mr. Holmes Bakehouse first introduced it’s magical cruffins to Seoul, I was instantly hooked. All that flakey, buttery, sugared goodness… who could resist? I was particularly enchanted with their pillow soft brioche doughnuts. Don’t even get me started on their various cream fillings. Needless to say it was love at first bite, but sadly one cannot live off of cruffins alone.

It has been a few months since I’ve revisited Mr. Holmes, but I’m so glad I finally got around to it. While I loved their cruffins the first few times I had them, I found them to be a bit on the stiffer side especially when compared to their fluffy brioche doughnuts. This time around, however, they were so much better! They were soft, flakey and just perfect!

As always, the lighting and interior were spectacularly picture perfect. I must’ve taken dozens of pictures. I also got to try one one of their new teas. The apple lemon tea was lightly sweetened and super refreshing. I highly recommend giving it a try if you have the chance. It’s the perfect summertime refreshment.
