Love the Skin You’re In

Lets face it, Koreans are well known for their flawless complections and miraculous cosmetics, so it’s no wonder that Korea is an oasis of beauty and skin care boutiques. Physical appearance is probably one thing that people really place strong emphasis on. I’m not just talking about girls either. Guys in Korea are actually heavily invested in their appearance and use almost as much product on their faces as girls do. Personally I think there’s a problem when your boyfriend is higher maintenance than you, but that’s just me.

Anyway, there’s nothing wrong with taking care of yourself and wanting to have healthy skin. So after testing several products on both myself and my boyfriend, here are my current top three skin care products for you guys and gals.

  • Store: Etude House
  • Product: Baking Powder B.B Deep Cleansing Foam

Face wash is just one of the basic steps you take to maintain healthy skin. This particular wash has a light scrub-like element to it, without being too rough on sensitive skin. It really gets all the oils and dirt out of your pores. It’s also really good for removing makeup. I use it about 1~2 times a day and it always leaves my face feeling light and refreshed.

  • Store: Tony Moly
  • Product: Egg Pore Series

I’m not one to use products that come in steps, mostly because I often find that it’s usually only one of the products that does all the work. That is not the case here. In this 3 step process the white egg is used to clean your pores and remove blackheads. The brown egg tightens your pores. The golden egg is just a cream to make your skin feel like silk. In my opinion you don’t really need the gold egg, but it does make your face incredibly smooth so I really like it. After about two weeks I could already see a big difference. I used it about 3 times a week and after a while I only needed to use it once a week and then once every other week. Its a fantastic product and I highly recommend it. As a bonus, when you finish using the creams there are instructions on the box that tell you how to make them into these really adorable little planters!

  • Store: Missha
  • Product: Super Aqua Anti Trouble Formula

If I could only suggest one product to you, it would be this one. It’s a spot remover formula. It’s also part of a series, but the only part worth using. I use it everyday after a take a shower. If it looks like a blemish is about to creep in or if I see the slightest tinge of redness I just rub some on the spot and about 90% of the time it disappears the next day.

I hope you all found this helpful. I will make sure to post more on great cosmetics to save you the time and money of doing it yourself. Until next time ….

I noticed Korea has bad pollution, so these tips are very helpful for maintaining and keeping your skin blemish free! Thank you!

    • No problem! They are some of my favorite products. With the pollution and extreme weather, they really are a necessity ^^
