What to See, Eat and Do in Korea (and Beyond)
It is officially winter in Korea which means it’s going to be cold. Snow isn’t always guaranteed, but sub-zero temperature and chilly nights are. So we’ve got tips to keep you warm and your holidays bright this December!
Korea is full of beautiful and historical landmarks, but 경복궁 (Gyeongbokgung) will always be our favorite. We visit the palace at least once every season, in every kind of weather, any chance we get. We love the history, unique architecture and vibrant colors.
September is a great time to visit Korea. We are slowly coming out of the sweltering heat of August and moving towards our personal favorite time of year… autumn! There’s a lot of fun things to see and do this time of year. Here are a few tips to help plan your trip!
On the whole, South Korea is one of the safest countries in the world. Theft and petty street crime are rare and while violent crime certainly exists, the vast majority of tourists aren’t likely to encounter it during their travels.
But still, make sure to practice the same safety precautions you would at home while you’re here and you’ll be more than fine.
It seems like Hybe is going full steam ahead with these BTS pop-ups and we’re all here for it. This time it’s an exhibition for the one and only Kim Taehyung aka V. And the ‘ARTSPACE: TYPE 1’ exhibition coincides with the release of his latest 224 page photo book ‘Type 1.’
It should come as no surprise that Incheon International Airport has its own pop-ups. And, yes, they are definitely worth visiting. This time around, we were at ICN Terminal 1 checking for a flight when we came across an Aespa pop-up for their Armageddon album at the SMART PASS ID booth on the 3rd floor.

in terms of total number of visitors in 2023. It is also THE most visited museum in Asia. But is it worth the hype and a time slot on your itinerary?
Matthew Chang Perfumes specializes in floral inspired fragrances that really give off this romantic fairytale vibe. I’m not usually into flowery scents, but this line is so light, lovely and perfect for the spring that I couldn’t resist! So, while they’ve totally won me over with their perfumes they just dropped their new line of hand wash and body lotion and I wanted to check it out.
This one-day itinerary focuses on spots in and around the Gyeongbokgung area. We’ll be focusing on traditional Korean food, old-school Korean snacks, and shopping in the Insadong area. While we’re starting the day at 11:30 AM, you can start earlier and rent a hanbok if you’d like to add some more tradition to your experience.
There are plenty of gyms, personal trainers, and yoga classes to choose from, but sometimes I just want to get a good workout in and save some money.
Hong Kong Disneyland holds the distinction of being the smallest Disney park in the world. But ask anyone who’s been there and they’ll tell you: Hong Kong Disneyland is one of the most magical Disney parks in the world. And while the rides are great, the staff is wonderfully kind and helpful and the vibe is magical… the food is amazing.
