Disneyland Paris, Everything We ATE

Disneyland Paris, Everything We ATE

No visit to a Disney park is complete without splurging on churros, waffles, or even the errant beer. And we’ve had some amazing snacks at Disney parks around the world. Who can forget the ham and cheese Mickey waffle in Shanghai? Or DisneySea and their cornucopia of flavored popcorns!?

But with a little help from French cuisine and delicious bakeries, Disneyland Paris takes everything we love and kicks it up to a whole other level. So, without further ado… here’s our rating of everything we ate at Disneyland Paris (Walt Disney Studios included)!

Champagne

If you’re going to Disneyland Paris, you’d better leave space for champagne. There is one cart that serves champagne in all the Disneylands and this is it! We found the small cart at the end of Mainstreet across from Casey’s in the late afternoon. We’re not particular big on champagne, but when in Rome right? To our surprise, we all agreed that it was quite tasty.. and a bit strong. Thanks to Disney’s 100th anniversary, we also got these cool commemorative champagne flutes! This glass of Disney magic will set you back 20 EUR.

★★★★★

Groot Sandwich Cookies

The Groot sandwich cookies can be found at the entrance of Walt Disney Studios. They were our first “meal” of the day and there were two flavors to choose from (raspberry & nutella). Unfortunately, even through we arrived at opening, they hadn’t restocked the nutella for the day. They’re two for 6 EUR and while they were great for the ‘gram, they tasted just okay. We’d be okay with skipping them next time.

★★☆☆☆

Macarons

These quintessential French treats are served at only one spot in all of Disneyland Paris. Boardwalk Candy Palace on Mainstreet sells them individually or in a bundle of 6 for 11 EUR. There were five flavors to choose from, each with it’s own unique character on it and they were delicious. Pro tip: they pair insanely well with a glass of champagne

Passion Fruit Cake Pop

Also found at Boardwalk Candy Palace were a variety of classic Disney cake pops for 5 EUR. If you haven’t had them before, they’re quite big, rich and incredibly filling. We were all pretty full by this point in the day, but I needed my fix and it was completely worth it. Passionfruit Halloween themed goodness for the win.

★★★★★

Duck & Emmental Cheese Galette

We were a little disappointed by the lack of French cuisine in Disneyland Paris, but Walt Disney Studios more than made up for it. Our trip in October coincided with Le Rendez-Vous Gourmand, a summer to autumn food festival with wine, snacks and food from all over France and Europe. At the Region Bretagne cart we got a duck and emmental cheese galette for 7 EUR and it was to die for. Savory perfection.

★★★★★

Salted Caramel Crepe

If you’re going for savory, then of course you have to get something sweet to balance it out. So, at the same cart, we got a salted caramel crepe. It was overflowing with salted caramel and totally hit the spot for only 5 EUR. While it was a perfectly good crepe, it wasn’t anything particularly special… especially when compared to the duck galette.

★★★★☆

Cheese Pretzel

No Disney park visit is complete without a pretzel. Though not Mickey shaped, this 5 EUR cheese pretzel was part of the Le Rendez-Vous Gourmand. We weren’t exactly blown away by this pretzel. We picked one up later in the night and all though they reheated it, there was still something to be missed. However it did give us something to much on while we made our way through the park.

★★☆☆☆

Churros

Churros are a staple of any Disney park. But, thankfully, they’re priced relatively normally at Disney Paris compared to their Anaheim cousins. For 6 EUR we got 3 churros with a Nutella dipping sauce from the Spain cart. While they scratched our churro itch, they didn’t quite measure up to the ones in Disneyland Anaheim.

★★★☆☆

Mickey Waffles with Nutella

It’s really hard to get Mickey Waffles wrong. And now, thanks to our many travels, we’ve had Mickey Waffles from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Anaheim, Tokyo and Paris. And, we can say without a doubt… Mickey waffles will ALWAYS reign supreme in our family. For 5 EUR we got three Nutella drizzled mini Mickey Waffles from Cool Post in Adventureland. And as you might expect.. they were magical!

★★★★★

Mickey Beignet

As Southern California natives, when we see beignets, we have expectations. Unfortunately, our expectations are for New Orleans-style beignets. Naturally, Paris has French-style beignets which are more like filled donuts. The thing is they weren’t even bad, just a bit light on sweetness… and filling. These Chocolate-hazelnut filled beignets can be found at Market House Deli for 4.50 EUR a piece.
