Autumn Tea Party

Posted on October 12, 2021 by Lexi • Leave a comment

After what felt like a long brutal summer, we are finally heading into autumn here in Korea and I’m so ready! I’m ready for colorful leaves, cozy sweaters and warm cups of tea. I love tea! In fact, whenever we travel I always make sure to bring back some of the local tea. Unfortunately, the … Continue reading →

Pet Friendly Hotel in Seoul

Posted on October 1, 2021 by Lexi • 1 Comment

This summer, on top of skyrocketing Covid cases, we were also hit with a horrible heat wave. One thing to know about Seoul is that summer heat is always coupled with a miserable amount of humidity. It’s wet and always feels 10 degrees hotter than it actually is. It was at this point in time … Continue reading →

Christmas Decoration Shopping in Korea

Posted on December 18, 2020 by Lexi • Leave a comment

Christmas in Seoul is magical. Every year it seems like the city embraces the festive warmth of the season just a little bit more. The subway stations, streets and malls are all decked out in glittering lights, fully decorated trees and all sorts of grand displays. I think it’s safe to say that we could … Continue reading →

Coronavirus: What’s Going on in South Korea

Posted on March 3, 2020 by Lexi • 3 Comments

It seems like the coronavirus is taking the world by storm. As of this very moment, we have 4,335 confirmed cases of coronavirus here in South Korea, making it the largest outbreak outside of China. Although the first case was recorded back in mid-January, people weren’t as concerned until the numbers started to skyrocket last … Continue reading →

Godzilla Cafe in Korea: Cafe Ookii ( 카페 오오키이)

Posted on September 6, 2019 by Lexi • 5 Comments

Over the years, especially throughout childhood, I found myself collecting all sorts of things from Beanie Babies and Disney figurines to McDonalds toys and Pogs (remember Pogs?). I’ve had a lot of collections, many of which still reside in boxes at my parents house, but none of them quite compare to Bae Tae Hyun’s Godzilla … Continue reading →

Yeouido Spring Flower Festival – Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival

Posted on April 25, 2019 by Lexi • 4 Comments

After what seemed like an eternal winter (not really complaining), spring has finally returned to Seoul. The first signal is the blooming of cherry blossoms all across the country; something I really look forward to every year. So far, this year has been a bit busy and I was afraid that my most recent trip … Continue reading →

Cooling Down @ Hi, Ice Cream in Seoul (하이, 아이스크림)

Posted on September 5, 2018 by Lexi • Leave a comment

Checking out the latest art exhibit is one of our favorite things to do, even more so now if it gets us out of this awful heat. So to kick off the summer, my husband decided to surprise me by taking me to an art exhibit entirely dedicated to ice cream! We didn’t know what … Continue reading →

Seoul Comic Con 2018: Ay or Nay?

Posted on August 30, 2018 by Lexi • Leave a comment

Another year, another Comic Con. Well, it’s actually only the 2nd Comic Con to be held here and I’ve got to say, it wasn’t half bad. After last year’s Con, there was a lot of talk about how unorganized the event was and how a lot of vendors were really displeased. We were actually a … Continue reading →

Paper Art Exhibit in Seoul: Paper, Present @ Daelim Museum

Posted on May 17, 2018 by Lexi • 2 Comments

Lately I find myself getting reacquainted with my artistic side. I’ve always been pretty artsy, at some point I was even aiming to be an animator for Disney. Though that dream has come and gone, every now and then I find the need to draw, paint or simply create something new. Recently I’ve been obsessing … Continue reading →

5 NEW Street Foods to Try in Myeongdong

Posted on December 19, 2017 by Lexi • 7 Comments

While Myeongdong (명동) is mostly known for its fabulous shopping experience, it also has a great street food scene. Last year I did a post on street vendors in Myeongdong and what foods to try when you need a break from all that shopping. This year I noticed a lot of new food options and … Continue reading →

The cherry blossoms are in full bloom here in Korea!!! While they get a lot of attention during the day I really love viewing them at night. They somehow look extra magical.
Cherry blossom season in Korea is absolutely breathtaking! I feel like there are more and more cherry blossom trees each year, and personally... I can't get enough!
Spring has finally sprung here in Seoul and I'm all about it! Flower gazing, outdoor coffee dates and even a new fragrance. I'm definitely ready 😆
There's nothing more romantic than cherry blossom season in Korea. There's just something so magical about walking beneath these cotton candy looking trees. When it starts to "rain" cherry blossom petals on a breezy day... it simply takes your breath away!
The daylight is lasting longer, the weather's getting warmer and I'm so ready for some beautiful spring weekends!!!
