Gyeongbokgung: A Royal Proposal

Posted on August 17, 2017 by Lexi • 14 Comments

“Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.” Gyeongbokgung is probably my favorite place in Korea. I mean, it’s a real life piece of history right in the middle of Seoul and you can simply stroll through it whenever you want (during open hours of course). … Continue reading →

Under the Sea @ Lotte World Aquarium (롯데월드 아쿠아리움)

It was on a mere whim that the boyfriend and I found ourselves wandering into the Lotte World Aquarium. I think w’ just re-watched Finding Dory and suddenly felt a strong urge to check out some marine life. Either way, there we were, cameras in hand ready to take some serious National Geographic level photos. … Continue reading →

Granhand (그랑핸드): Korean Homemade Fragrances **Update**

Posted on July 6, 2017 by Lexi • 3 Comments

Granhand is hands down my favorite fragrance shop. Their original handmade fragrances had me hooked the moment I entered their doors, well over a year ago. Whenever I need sachets for my closet, candles for my home or perfume for myself, I always make time to head over to their beautiful little hanok shop to resupply. … Continue reading →

Korea Road Trip Day 3: Ocean Lattes, Fish Markets & Lighthouses

Posted on June 20, 2017 by Lexi • 9 Comments

Day 3 of our trip started early and with purpose. The rest of our trip had been a mis-mash of what we wanted to do and what we had time to do. Our first day was marred by traffic and our second by a late start but it was day 3. We’d learned from our … Continue reading →

Korea Road Trip Day 2: Mountains, Beaches & Penis Rest Stops (NSFW)

Posted on May 31, 2017 by Lexi • 2 Comments

After a lovely day on Nami Island, we hit the road the next morning and headed for Sokcho on the east coast of Korea for some much anticipated beach time. Having spent a good amount of time in traffic the previous day, we were determined to beat the odds by leaving earlier and searching for … Continue reading →

Korea Road Trip Day 1: Nami Island (남이섬)

Posted on May 25, 2017 by Lexi • 2 Comments

For the first time in a very long time, my boyfriend and I actually had the same consecutive days off. So we decided to grab our pup, Uyu, and hit the road on our first ever Korea road trip. Our first stop was Nami Island. We had such a great time with Uyu when we went … Continue reading →

The Standard Korean Date

Posted on May 9, 2017 by Lexi • Leave a comment

I’ve received quite a few messages asking me what it’s like dating a Korean guy and what dating is like in Korea. There are a lot of stereotypes surrounding the “Korean Boyfriend.” If you look it up on YouTube you’ll seriously find a million results on the subject. To put it simply, it all comes … Continue reading →

Cuddle Time @ Meerkat Friends (미어캣프랜즈)

Asia is quite famous for its unique cafes, particularly when it comes to the animal variety. I love animals, so I never miss an opportunity to mingle with them up close and personal. I’ve been to several dog, cat and raccoon cafes in Korea. I’ve even been to an owl cafe in Japan! I thought I … Continue reading →

How to Spend a Day in Hanbok

Posted on March 31, 2017 by Lexi • 5 Comments

Although it has become insanely popular among locals and tourists, It’s been a while since I’ve dressed up in a traditional hanbok and strolled around Gyeongbokgung and its surrounding area. Right now it’s a very popular date idea, so when Oneday Hanbok invited me to check out their new shop I decided to turn it … Continue reading →

Oneday Hanbok (원데이 한복) **New Location**

Posted on March 28, 2017 by Lexi • 3 Comments

I first came across Oneday Hanbok back in 2015, when it was a tiny little shop inside 을지로4가역 (Euljiro 4 Ga Station). They had a modest selection, but the service was excellent and price was right. It was such a great experience I went straight to my blog to tell everyone about my great find! Flash … Continue reading →
