Hi everyone, my name’s Lexi! Thanks for checking out my blog. I started this site as a way to share my life and experiences here in Korea with my family and of course all of you. Whether you live in Korea or are planing to make a trip, I hope my site can help give you some ideas of fun things to do and help with questions you may have about Korean culture, language or what have you. I really want to focus on all the cool stuff Korea has to offer, beyond what you would typically find in a guide book.
Here’s a bit about myself. I moved to Korea from California in 2009. I graduated from my university with a degree in dance and came out here to pursue a career in the entertainment industry and of course work on my Korean. 
I live here with my boyfriend and adorable maltese puppy named 우유 (Uyu=Milk), who you will probably see in many of my photos. I bought 우유 here in Korea. He is my baby and although he can be a handful at times, he brings me so much joy. We have shared many adventures together exploring Korea.
I met my boyfriend on the first day of school when we entered university and we started dating. When I moved to Korea after graduation, he decided to follow after me 6 months later. He has been pursing a career in chemistry and I guess you could say the rest is history ^^ Most of his family lives here, so I’ve been able to learn and experience a lot of traditional Korean culture. It’s been a really wonderful experience so far.
Aside from dance, I also love food (as you may notice from my blog). I love to eat it, I love to make it and yes I love to photograph it. To be honest I love to take all kinds of photos. I also like to draw when the mood strikes me. Right now I’m working on a comic book with my boyfriend, who is quite the artist himself. I like to play video games when I have the time and I’m a huge American football fan. Unfortunately, Korea’s not big on football so I’ve sadly fallen a bit out of the loop.

Hello Lexi ! I read your personal Info and was ecstatic with the idea that you are working in an entertainment industry. It is really my dream to go to Korea but Im afraid it will take time since im still a student and still living on my own. Just by looking and reading your blog makes me feel like im already in Korea. more power and God bless !
I lived on my own too back when I was in college. There are some pretty great exchange programs here in Seoul. I highly recommend Sogang University if you want to study abroad for a semester. If you can’t though, Korea isn’t going anywhere ^^ Work hard, finish your studies and you’ll be here in no time! In the mean time, I hope you continue to enjoy my blog. From a fellow dog owner, I’m planning on leaving Canada and moving to Korea beginning of August with my 1 and half year old labrador…do you think this is a wise decision? One thing I am hesitant about is finding housing that will allow/accomodate a big dog. Any help would be appreciate it! Btw love your blog 🙂
Hi Steph! To be honest, moving to Korea with a pet, especially one as big as a Lab would be really difficult. Unless you already have a place set up that allows you to keep him there… I would really advise against it. I think the best thing to do would be to set yourself up in Korea and give yourself time to find a good place for you and your pup to live in. It may be a bit difficult to do since most people out here keep small breeds of dog, but not impossible. Then after you get settled, you can bring you dog over (maybe during one of your visits back home). I hope this helps a bit. If you have any other questions just let me know. hii, i loved your blog! so just a little question, do you know anything about places in korea that teaches korean? I’m brazilian but I speak english and I’m planning on going to korea by the end of this year but I know nothing… any help please
Thanks so much for reading! If you want to take Korean classes, you have a couple of options. I took classes at at a University and it was a really great experience. There are different course plans: weekends or 2,3,5 times a week. So it’s really whatever you want. I went to Sogang University and they have a very interactive/ practical use curriculum. The only downside would be the tuition fee.

Another option would be to go to Global Village Center. There are a few locations in Seoul and they offer FREE Korean courses. The only downside to this would be that it is first come first serve and they have limited spaces available. I haven’t taken classes here before, but I heard they are quite good.

I feel like and you and me can be great friends. It is great that you pursued your passion in dancing even in another country. I used to be so into dance that I even thought of just going into it further rather than go to a normal university, unfortunately the folks put their foot down. hahaha. anyway, I am also in a relationship with a Korean man (I am a FIlipina btw) and I would love to hear your thoughts about dating one.
