Granhand (그랑핸드): Korean Homemade Fragrances **Update**

Granhand is hands down my favorite fragrance shop. Their original handmade fragrances had me hooked the moment I entered their doors, well over a year ago. Whenever I need sachets for my closet, candles for my home or perfume for myself, I always make time to head over to their beautiful little hanok shop to resupply.

Aside from hoarding their products for myself, they also make amazing gifts or souvenirs. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sent their perfumes and candles back home as birthday gifts. They are always a big hit! The perfumes can even be hand stamped with any name. My mom and sister are both finicky when it comes to scents but, hands down, the Marine Vacth is their favorite. Honestly, it’s a general crowd pleaser. If you don’t know what to get someone else, Marine Vacth is the way to go. When you smell it, you’l know what I mean:

TOP Mandarin, Pear, Lemon
MIDDLE Rose, Lily of the Valley, Orchid
BASE Musk, Toffee, Patchouly

Personally, I’m more of a Lucy Diamond kinda gal. The fragrance is strong and sweet (a little goes a long way). I really like how it has this romantic feel to it. It’s pretty much my signature smell since it’s the only perfume I wear now. I even have Lucy Diamond sachets in my closet. What can I say? I’m obsessed!

TOP Peach, Plum, Apricot
MIDDLE Jasmine, Lily of the Valley
BASE Vanilla, Musk

Thankfully, every time I’ve been to the shop there’s been someone who speaks English. It’s safe to say that someone who speaks English is always on hand leading you through a maze of scents and fragrances. If you need an expert opinion they can definitely get the job done. It’s very easy to spend all your money there (speaking from experience).

If you’re ever in Korea, definitely go out of your way to check this place out. Their products can (and will) rack up a bill, but I’d say it’s totally worth it. The scents last hours and are crowd pleasing gifts. The uniqueness and great quality of their stuff is a great way to remember your trip to Korea.

Hi, is it hard to find this shop considering that the Hanok Village is big? Do you have any directions and do you know if they do tax refunds?
