As promised by Cube Entertainment, 4minute’s HyunA and B2ST’s 장현승 (Hyun Seung or JS) have released their anticipated 4 track collaborative mini album. I must say I was a little disappointed to discover that “Trouble Maker” is the only dance track on the album followed by three ballads that are quite forgettable in comparison.

Release of suggestive teaser trailers for their featured song “Trouble Maker” have had fans eagerly awaiting the results of this young hot duo. Just for good measure however, the two made a short 2 minute appearance together on stage during the 2011 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) that was held just this past Tuesday. Their intimate thigh grabbing, up-skirt looking, mildly air humping, leg wrapping “dance” had fans reeling. But, what really got everyone’s blood pumping was their brief moment of lip-locking.
Coming from the states, it really didn’t seem like that big a deal. I mean, when it comes to award shows the “on stage kiss” is one of the biggest clichés (planned or not). You get the variety of boy on girl, girl on girl, boy on boy and even three ways. I am quite understanding of the culture in Korea though, so I get why it was such a huge shock. According to Cube Entertainment, the kiss was definitely staged, with the consent of both artists of course. In addition, they also denied any claims that it was a lip to lip kiss, explaining that it was only lip to cheek. Now, I’ve watched that clip a few times and it definitely doesn’t seem that way to me, but perhaps for all their overly crazed protective fans, ignorance is bliss.
Also, after plenty of teasing, the full music video for “Trouble Maker” was finally released yesterday. It wasn’t as provocative as I had expected compared to HyunA’s other mv’s like “Bubble Pop,” but being a dancer, I have always been a sucker for sexy couple choreography.
